We have only one celebrity in Ghana – Radio show Producer

A radio show producer, Victor Brachie of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show has said that Abraham Attah is the one celebrity in Ghana.

In a Facebook post on Monday, February 29, 2016, Brachie said, “Now when we talk about real celebrities in Ghana, we have only one person, very young … Abraham Atta.”

He added that he saw none of the others Ghanaians call celebrities in Ghana as such. “As for the others, they are just popular. I rest my case,” Brachie said.

The US Embassy Ghana also on Monday eulogised Abraham Attah on its Facebook wall.

“Great weekend for Ghana's Abraham Attah! He picked up the Best Male Lead award at Film Independent's 2016 Spirit Awards for his role in Beasts of No Nation and presented an Oscar at the 88th Academy Awards,” the post read.
