Pappy Kojo should not be blamed for naked picture of fan

Management of Ghanaian Hiplife/Hippop Artist, Jason Gaisie known in the entertainment circles as Papy Kojo has finally come public to clear the air on the controversy surrounding a picture making rounds on social media that captures Pappy Kojo and two male fans of his, one of whom was half naked.

They have urged Ghanaians not to blame the artist for taking such a picture. According to them, Pappy Kojo did not take that picture deliberately but was forced by the fans to take the picture with them, against his will.

The explanation follows backlash from cross-section of Ghanaians on 2015 Hip Hop Song winner at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Pappy Kojo, for taking a picture with a half naked fan who had his panties dragged to his knee level exposing his genitals surrounded by a jungle of pubic hair.

Some have subsequently expressed their disappointment in him for associating himself with people who can shamelessly expose their nakedness publicly.

But speaking to Amanda Jisseh on ‘U say Weytin’, a segment on Showbiz Fila, on Hitz 103. 9 FM, a member of Pappy Kojo’s management team, Paa Debrah said that Pappy Kojo painstakingly did what he did because of the respect he has for his fans.

“If you look at the picture you will realize that they were holding his hands so Pappy Kojo did not even pose for the picture,” he explained.

He however, apologized to Ghanaians for that unfortunate incident.

Paa Debrah also rubbished claims by some of Pappy Kojo’s that he intentionally took the picture to create controversy in order to promote his catchphrase, ‘Yiwo dros’.

However, an Entertainment Pundit, Prince Tsegah believes that the explanation given by Pappy Kojo’s management is illogical and should not be accepted. “Is Paa Debrah trying to tell us that Pappy Kojo will be willing to smoke Marijuana knowing that he could be arrested for that if his fans tell him to so”?, he quizzed.

He has also called for the resignation of ‘Reala no’ hit maker’s management for what he describes as failing to manage the controversy surrounding the pictures professionally.
