Dancehall artiste, Samini has revealed that his first pay cheque in his music career was GHC5.00.
In an interview with Hitz FM, Samini says the pay cheque gave him the chance to afford a bottle of beer for the first time.
Talking about his success in the music career, Samini says he has
realized how successful he was becoming in the music career after seeing
himself in Mary Agyapong’s ‘Twe ben me’ music video.
Samini is revered to have won several awards including best African Act
at the 2006 MOBO awards, best performer at 2009 MTV Africa music video
awards, Headies best African act 2010, Most gifted reggae dancehall
video artist at 2011 Channel O Music Video Awards and Album of the Year
at 2011 Ghana Music Awards.
